16.03.2011, GameXP – Coordination Meeting and Symposium at Mahidol University, Bangkok Thailand, January 25-26, 2011

From January 25 to 26, 2011, the GameXP consortium got together in Bangkok, Thailand for an internal Progress and Coordination Meeting as well as an official Symposium held at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine at Mahidol University.

Kick-off Meeting

Within the scope of its internal coordination meeting, the GameXP consortium discussed the actual status of project activities performed at the different partner institutions, the very positive progress of the project as well as the upcoming tasks and perspectives for the third project year. The different work package presentations were followed by fruitful discussions about the current scientific results as well as dissemination and exploitation activities.

The Symposium combined interesting lectures about current scientific developments in the genomic approaches to metabolite exploitation from Xenorhabdus/Photorhabdus as well as their most recent research results. Scientific talks were followed by a presentation on participation in the EU’s 7th Framework Programme and respective funding opportunities.

In total around 50 people, in particular scientists and lecturer from the Faculty of Medicine, Mahidol University, attended the one-day symposium which was considered as a great success. This programme was included in the 50th Year Anniversary lectures of the Faculty of Tropical Medicine.
